which is an extra couple bucks for a bus ride that leaves 15 minutes or so after the train comes in. I believe in this case it's a SmartWay bus that's on the train's schedule. That puts you on Alumni Mall, I think. To book that you just search for your tickets to Blacksburg rather than Roanoke.

There is an Enterprise rental car place 1.3 miles away from the Roanoke Train Station; I've heard for other train stations, that "we'll pick you up" includes "from the train station"
