Bud's sideline demeanor has changed substantially, and his interviews are more coherent and sedate also. Take a look at some of the lunatics on the sideline now (Narduzzi et al.), and you could conclude the Bud compares favorably in gametime composure and in front of the press.

Other factors are at play, such as the ability to manage a program, but nobody here has any idea of whether Bud could do that.
