3 or 4 years ago, I volunteered to help the HC in any way I could, including helping redistribute tickets. Other than have me stuff envelopes for mailings for golfing events, they weren't interested.
As far as out of town ticket holders, their only option is StubHub, SeatGeek, etc. I also agree with you that from the AthDept's viewpoint, they've done their jobs by the initial selling of tickets. However, with the current state of affairs, it is going to be a chronic problem with empty seats. I for one accept it, don't like it, and I place the blame for the empty seats at the feet of those responsible.
