This reminds me of Garnett and Livorio years ago.


Livorio beat Garnett in a wrestle off and Garnett started steam rolling competition and ended up having a bunch of ranked wins that year.

Laprade doesn't have the resume Garnett had, but as wrestlingfan stated above, you can't always use head-to-head. Laprade and Blees see each other in the room every day so the more they wrestle the closer the matches will become.

You have to look at Blees vs. Laprade in terms of matchups and vs. the nation. I think sometimes you also have to look at long term prospectus. Blees is a Junior and has struggled in the past. Laprade is a redshirt freshman and just now learning.

I'm not saying the coaches have made a decision for good, but I think they will probably know before the start of ACC duals. That being said it's a good problem to have.
