All this talk of conspiracy and TV ratings is nonsense.

The committee is comprised of a bunch of former football coaches (including Frank Beamer). I find it hard to believe that they really care about the politics or TV ratings. They are trying to get the four best teams in the playoff.

The easy political move would've been to put the Big 10 champ in -- but they didn't. They trusted their knowledge of football and realized that Alabama would likely beat OSU on a neutral field and sure as hell wouldn't get pummeled by 31 points at Iowa!

I strongly dislike Bama and was hoping they wouldn't make it in -- but they are CLEARLY a better team than OSU and will be formidable when the playoff rolls around and they are much healthier at LB.

It was the right choice and made for the right reasons, in my humble opinion.
