One note, I know on some Chev. vehicles disconnection can cause the ECU to


lose it's memory. EFI, and other settings associated with timing get "forgotten" and it goes to factory reset mode. Sometimes that make the vehicle run rough when the battery gets reconnected and started. 30 minutes or so of normal driving let's it "relearn" and reset to where it needs to be.
