How is it critical?
Just acknowledges that the fit for all the players may not be perfect so the coaches have to tweak things in the system. One of the big criticisms of Lefty/Beamer was he stubbornly stuck to their system irrespective of the players available. While I thought that was largely overstated and simply manifested itself differently because the system was a bit more rigid, that was the criticism. Now, we have a coach with a more malleable system where the adaptations are more obvious, so it’s not a criticism to say he molds things to suit his players while recognizing if he’d do things differently if he had different players.
