Solid, but not brutal.


Most of those programs (Oregon, Oregon St, Stanford, Wazzu, Colo St) were mediocre in the 1980s. Some of them had gone 20+ years without a bowl appearance!

Also, as mentioned -- half of their conference (both Kansas schools, Iowa St, Mizzou) was terrible.
