Born and raised in McDowell County WV, but had a lot of relatives in Atkins, Marion, Chilhowie, Abingdon. Spent a lot of holidays among them and a good part of each summer. Miss those days.
Also, distinctively remember WDBJ-7 (I remember Ann Compton starting on the news there) and WSLS-10 in Roanoke. First time I ever heard of Krispy Kreme donuts was on one of the Saturday morning kids programs from Roanoke. I seriously craved them till our aunts loaded up all us cousins and took us to Lakeside Park one summer day. Finally had me a Krispy Kreme donut.
