I don't think you understood my post. The rankings at the end of the year are more valuable than the rankings at the start of the season. The committee we have now agrees that is the case and hopefully we agree on that.

So let me be clear the rankings are used after the season and after the Conference Championship games.

As far as the combo, you do have mainly performance for the rankings, but you also have opinion. It's the AP for the writers poll and the Coaches poll. So that element is already in there. Maybe I misunderstood you?

Also, the committee could break a scoring tie, but at a minimum you should not have two people in the room using different criteria to answer the same question. Tell me one level of sports that does that from Little League Football to the NFL? It just promotes networks and coaches politicking for their teams. That's an awful system if you ask me, because it lacks standards and integrity.
