Volume shooting though does not make one the best though


I have seen it before. Someone is 4-for-20 and scores 15+ points and is celebrated versus someone shooting 3-for-5, scores 8 points and isn't held up. But the inefficient shooter gets the glory when at some point they should stop jacking up shots. It isn't about the mentality that a shooter needs to keep shooting. A better motif is that the inefficient shooter should start closer in, should make shots and the more efficient shooter should have more opportunities.

Not saying that this is the case with Brooks but have seen inefficient shooters get praised simply because their final number looks nice without people delving into the details.
