Here are some statements that might help. I don’t see the Conference Champ only until a P4. However, I do think a P4 is coming. I do think the loose criteria they are using is not good. Each committee person is just doing what they want to do because of it. I have no problem with them picking Alabama this year and Ohio State last year, if they could describe how they used the criteria to do it. They could not describe how they used it to pick either of them. Instead they just basically said, we thought they were better. Lastly, I called my first attempt a first draft because it would need work, but the most important thing is to have a consistent and as objective a system as possible to chose the 4 teams.
