Five or six rough looking gentlemen we’re having a happy, loud conversation over by the belt sanders. Laughing and sharing photos of an encounter one of them had with some guy. The guy with the photo phone was bragging about knocking out cold the guy in the photo over some sort of personal injustice. After going through all the photos of the beat up guy and laughing at his cuts and bruises, the largest, oldest redneck dropped some wisdom on the younger guys. He said that you have to be careful when you beat the crap out of someone. He said that he once had to serve eight years of probation for knocking out some dude’s teeth. Had it coming, but it sure wasn’t worth it. Eight years of probation; but he got through and that guy never messed with him again.

I’m buoyed knowing that those smokeless tobacco, scruffy-bearded young rebels in Harbor Freight had such a generous, wise role model.
