Keep in mind that the English have the good sense not to build stadia for

billionaires, so Tottenham's owners are financing this on their own. Money may be tight to buy players for the next few years and you have to wonder how long they can hold onto their manager.

Case in point: When Arsenal built the Emirates, they began pulling in much more revenue than Highbury, but they were saddled with a boatload of debt service. This led to years of selling players like Robin van Persie and Cesc Fàbregas in their primes in return for bums from France's Ligue 2. Stan Kroenke, the worst owner in all professional sports, views Arsenal as a wealth extraction tool and refuses to spend money like the owners of Chelsea, City, and United. I hope he dies screaming.

Wenger deserves a lot of credit for keeping Arsenal in the top 4 from 2006 to 2013 fielding the likes of Bendtner, Gervinho, Arshavin, and other stiffs. That said, right now, watching Arsenal is about as entertaining as watching late-era Beamer football. I'm loyal but I'm not blind.

I encourage you to go and see a match. I saw and Arsenal game a couple years back and was blown away by how fast and skilled these guys are in person.
