By the time all the investigative pieces get written, all the depositions in dueling lawsuits get taken, etc. the picture of the operations at Louisville will look even worse than what ESPN reported on in this story. Ramsey, Jurich, Pitino, Louisville trustees, Louisville politicians and business people all tied up in a variety of entangling deals and relationships. Postel, the current president and others brought in after the fact have a stake as well because they do not want anything to be missed and then attributed to their watch. Finally, you have the typical, irate, ivory tower academicians who smell blood in the water and after years where they were cut they will be looking for their pound of flesh as well. The only way this dies a quick death is if it threatens the highest levels of the Kentucky state government or threatens to spill over in any manner to Big Blue in Lexington. In that case it will be shutdown as quickly and expeditiously as legally possible.
