Are restaurant hosts\hostesses some of the dumbest people on the planet?


I'm not trying to be mean but how frickin' hard is the job? Greet people when they walk in and sit them at a table?

Went to a place last week. Walked in and there were three hosts. And it took them (all talking together) a few minutes to figure out where to seat us - in a 1/2 empty restaurant. Really? WT*?

And this 'confusion' seems to happen more often than not.
