but the abridged version is that my son wants to go into Sports Broadcasting and was looking at Syracuse. Bill Roth, as you probably know, went to Syracuse. So I emailed him last spring and he has been great. He met with my son for about 2.5 hours the morning after the Clemson game and kind of recruited him to VT. He is building a program from scratch at Tech. They have been texting throughout the process ... Bill is really hoping he gets in.

Times have definitely changed. When I applied you just camped near the mailbox after school! Now they take pains to make sure everyone is notified at the same time and you can't guarantee that with snail mail.
