Recent politics helped many folks finally realize they won’t miss it.
The biggest enemy of the discretionary entertainment dollar is apathy. If you don’t think giving a significant % of your customer base (even if just 10% or 20%) a reason to stop buying your increasingly watered down product, you’re simply naive or delusional because you personally don’t have an issue with the recent politics.
And if you don’t think politics haven’t been indirectly attempting to and succeeding in watering down the product itself and trying to tear football down brick by brick, your eyes are closed.
