UCF from an athletic department point of view is being run by Danny White. His Dad is the AD at Duke and his brother is the hoops coach at UF. The academics at UCF seem to be getting better all the time. The White family all seem to be solid people. I don't think Danny would have taken the UCF job if they were doing shady things. Orlando is a thriving market and people want to live here. There is no doubt that UCF is a commuter school but Orlando is a college sports obsessed city. UCF's football team is ready to compete now in the ACC. The basketball team at UCF is not that much different than VT.
