The stuff spun off to shareholders is what's left of Fox.


The wording of that is confusing. It's because what Fox sold was their parent company. 20th Century Fox. So the parent company had to spin off what they want to keep. They kept the Big Ten Network.

But it is very significant that ESPN gets all of those Fox Regional Sports Networks. That's a big deal including 5500 live events per year mostly professional sports.
