pointed out, why do you think Comcast spends a gazillion dollars to lobby the FCC? The wants the rules to be complex and crowd out competition, either through dictat or regulatory hurdles.

Giving the government more power to then give to the providers is a mistake and will hurt the consumer in the long run.
