Which wouldn't bother me all that much if each ISP wasn't
essentially a monopoly in its market.
When Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon all have their own content, no big deal. You can choose between them (or all of them if you want) in a near-perfect competitive environment. Yea Capitalism.
But where I live, I have a grand total of one option for high speed internet. And I expect most others are in the same boat. Some may have as many as two (their cable company and Verizon).
Giving consumers the right to pick and choose the options they want is wonderful. Giving providers the option to pick and choose what they want to offer...when they have to actively compete with other providers for customers...is fine too. But giving a monopoly the right to decide what you can and can't have is bad for everyone.
