in your example, it would be like if the electric company knew you were using the power for your grow-lamps and they were against pot, your power would be limited to only 80volts AC unless you paid more for "Full Power"

The problem is when the ISP wants you to pay more for more speed for selected services, where the ISP gets to pick the winners and losers in the deal.
