Everything was not fine... companies were beginning to learn how they


could create a competitive advantage by limiting access to sites that run counter to their goals, or by limiting access to bandwith for competitors products. For instance, limiting access to bandwidth for facetime if the company offers wireless, or throttling back netflix to extort more money, or to reduce competition. Before net neutrality, people had to file a complaint or a lawsuit against the companies. I thik I read it was through the FTC at that time, before the FCC did net neutrality.... now any misdeeds by your ISP will have to be handled through the FTC form what I understand.
