I think it's easier for a right-turning driver to turn into the right lane


and lane-change over to the left than it is for a left-turning driver to make a left turn.

But then again, the mental image I'm working off of right now is my experience of turning left opposite a stream of cars turning right. Not an easy thing, unless you make the assumption that they're all going into the rightmost lane. Your mental image that you're basing your posts off of may be different, and result in a different statement than above.

"Jerk move" may have been a bit harsh, too.
