I kind of disagree with their article...


Bitcoin has to have some sort of backing to it. This would be the first step in people saying "I trust bitcoin" and that you can buy a loaf of bread with it. Probably a necessary step to get that confidence in it, and yeah, it will bubble and collapse.

Not saying it will work or ever be considered as a curency, but hey, that's the only thing that keeps the dollar going, simple confidence that it will be around for a while (and that the Federal Reserve does a good job of managing it)
