He never should have left Denver
The system in place when he was here and Manning was hurt was tailored to BO, based on familiarity with his skill set. And he had a ferocious D backing him up. But he didn't feel respected enough and went to Texas, and it was like starting over. Then to the Browns, which ... well, he's lucky to have survived.
If Denver can build that system again for BO, and he still has confidence, he could play well, then the D plays better and the team is back in business. BO won't win many games by himself, but he can play well enough to lead a winning team.
