Here’s my problem with today.
The refs let them play in the first half. They were calling it very loose. And it was probably one of the most entertaining halves of basketball that’s been played in the country this far this season. Then they (the officials) totally switched gears at the start of the second half and whistled Blackshear for two in the first minute that they didn’t or wouldn’t call in the first half and then they totally proceeded to impact the entire pace of the game in the second half with calls. That’s bad officiating, plain and simple, and it happens way too often in the college game. It’s not about a particular call they do or don’t make. It’s about consistency throughout the game.
