I liked what it did with the SW universe (spoilers)

All the previous movies have been centered around the Skywalker family and Jedi and republic galactic politics.

Having stories on normal people was nice and really expanded on the story. Sure it was a bit political on the arms sales but made sense within the universe. And it made everything a little more gray with both sides buying weapons and not being “innocent”.

This felt more like the second lord of the rings movie to me. It was a middle act on a clearly defined bigger story. And I liked that they threw some curve balls and had Snoke die and Luke die. Overall a solid movie.

For reference, I still like Rogue One as one of my favorites.
