I had a roommate as an undergrad that slept from ~4-8 am/pm

He would nap from about 4-8 pm, then do school work. Then he would sleep again from 4-8 am, and go to class after he got up.

Of course in order to "keep" to that schedule, he had to drink for a couple of hours in order to be able to fall asleep by ~4:00. I'm not sure it was very productive.

(he went to Stanford for grad school, and made a good chuck of money in finance).
