They've drilled a few dozen 6 inch holes in a grid pattern in the area around the "money pit" (the same area where they drilled the 3 big holes last year). In one hole, dubbed H8, they found the stuff I mentioned in the spoils (the material brought up during the drilling process). They also detected a very large (presumably) metallic anomaly at about 155 ft from the same hole. The pottery is supposedly a type of pottery popular in Europe in the 1600s, and the bone tested as human. DNA sequencing suggests one of the indivduals was of European descent, the other middle eastern. They did not give a dating on those bones.
