Prime Rib Roasting question...

Instead of one large roast, the SO picked up two smaller roasts, one 5lb and one 3lb.

If I cook them both at the same time, they should cook according to their weights even being in the same oven.

So for the same time period, I could have one roast medium rare and one roast medium, Correct?

I've done large roasts before, so I know the drill. But no idea why the SO decided to pick up two separate roasts.
