NC State dominated the boards and coasted to an easy 17 point win. NCSU out rebounded Tech 56 to 31. Tech only shot 29.2% and only 16.7% from 3-pt. range. Tech was 9 of 17 from the FT line (52.9%). Tech had 26 points in the paint. The team looked unorganized at times offensively. NC State had their way in the paint for 3 quarters. Just not a good game for us today. Tech's bright spot would be that they only turned the ball over 9 times. Kenny Brooks needs to work on team chemistry. NC State was picked 8th in the ACC pre-season poll while we were picked 11th. This was a big early season test for us. This game showed us where we stand in the competitive ACC. Brooks has his work cut out for him. It's still early and hopefully we'll improve with each game but from what I saw today, we're a WNIT team at best.
