On the 1/2 yard line we snap it back to the 5 & 1/2 yard line. Why?

we have done that all season on "x and 1" plays and it really hurt us last night.

isnt there a much higher percentage of success just getting under center and "falling forward"? if it doesnt work on 1st down, run it again on 2nd, 3rd and hell even 4th.

4 downs to get 1/2 yard....play the percentages and dont let any issues come into play by snapping it back 5 yards
