Berman has a job to do, but that is different

than just trying to do his job. Buzz believes Berman is part of the reason for the confusion. While it is true that Berman can't be expected not to report on athletes moving in and out of the program, VT is limited in what it can say whether its due to student privacy issues or NCAA rules. Any reporter covering college athletes should be aware of those rules so when Berman reports Sy is at VT and he asks VT about it, he should know VT can't answer his questions and can't refute speculation whether it's true of not. In this case, it was not.

And in most interviews, Berman asks the least thoughtful questions possible and uses every opportunity to stir things up. Obviously Buzz likes to jerk his chain. He says Berman's name because he wants everyone to know who asked the lame question.
