Got 4 emails todays stating that I placed orders with Xfinity Mobile


All 4 came within 5 minutes of one another. I had not placed orders with Xfinity Mobile nor do I have an Xfinity Mobile account. I do have a Comcast internet/CATV account. So I called the Comcast number and they connected me with their fraud department. They check my account after I provided some basic info and then told me my account had been hacked. They suggested I change my Comcast account password as well as my WIFI password. I gave them the fraudulent Xfinity Mobile order numbers from the emails and they said all would be terminated.

I went ahead and changed my Comcast account password plus initiated the Comcast two step verification so I have to enter a code sent by Comcast each time I log into my account.

I did some research and found that fraudulent Xfinity Mobile orders have been an issue for Comcast in the past year. Some people complained of serious account breaches where thousands of dollars were charged to their account. Hopefully mine was fixed but I am checking my account daily to make sure a hacker has not been able to change my account settings & password and then made fraudelent orders.
