Coaches Poll is typically the first factor in placing teams. After the top four are set, we then make sure teams from the same conferences aren't in the same pools or teams that have one another on the schedule. Because the Big Ten schedule has zapped 1/6th of college wrestling from competing in the event by scheduling conference duals through this weekend, we had to modify the format to accommodate everyone as best we could.

People want different matches, so we go top seeds, then separate. We re-seed for the gold pool/semis, so to make sure again, we maximize the matchups.

I'll be working on various matrixes over the weekend as the coaches seeds come in. Probably Monday or Tuesday if I had to guess. I'm in Texas this weekend, so who knows what we'll come up with by then. It'll all be on VirginiaDuals.com when it's done though.
