I think a big part of it is going to be personal to whoever is in the slump
For me, slumps were always a result of my mechanics falling off and as a result, confidence as well, the remedy was taking shots closer to the basket, more drives, more layups, more high percentage stuff, then backing out a little to mid range jumpers, then finally chucking 3's. You can't fix a mechanic slip by not shooting. You have to make shots and then have something repeatable as a new baseline. Close shots established a nice new baseline for me, then I could work from there. It's amazing how much your confidence improves your long range mechanics once you have a few points in the box score from close range shots. [Post edited by BrockMerlin at 01/10/2018 1:52PM]
