For the most part I do agree with you


However, I do disagree with 1 statement you made, "The difference is that people in Iowa and Kansas actually watch the Cyclones and Wildcats." I disagree because it doesn't take into account the history of the Big 8 and that conferences were originally created based on geographical principles instead of fan interest. Keep in mind that TV audiences and fan interest level wasn't a big factor when conferences were forming in the early 1900s.
