But making the NCAA isn't a good launching point?


One of the most-heard justifications in the NCAA vs NIT debate -- "but winning the NIT is a good launching point, you can build for next year!"

As if making the NCAA (and 1st-round exit) can't be utilized by coach/team -- "Ok, we made the NCAA this year, but next year we've got bigger goals -- round of 32, Sweet 16, etc."
