Two different conditions. Two different methods.


1. When two lanes merge to one, the correct and most efficient way is for cars to continue in their lane until the point of the merge then alternate. Don’t switch lanes just to get ahead of a couple cars in the lane you’re already in. That’s arrogance.
2. A turn lane is backed up. Don’t speed past the line in the through lane until reaching the turn point and then force your way in at the front of the line. This is not a “merge” and is butting in ahead of people. More arrogance.
