Racer
I know Racer's history a bit. For whatever reason, college is playing out just like high school did for him, which means, having national level success but switching teams each year for no clear reason. After VT, he went to a community college near Ames, Iowa - Iowa Central. He won a JUCO National title there. After that, he announced that he was going to Ohio State, and the Ohio State board lit up about him being a solid addition, etc. He even started training there. Then McKenna transfers to OSU, and the whole OSU middle weight line up bounces up a weight class to make room for McKenna at 141. Micah Jordan is now sitting in the spot Racer was going to fill. Suddenly, Racer is no longer there (all this happening before the school year started). Then he ends up at Clackamas Community College - which is the team Racer's Central Iowa CC team beat the year before for the JUCO national title. He is the #1 ranked JUCO at 165. I have no idea how two JUCO years impacts D1 eligibility. How many years could he wrestle for D1 now?
Seems to me (no real insight on this, just my impression) that Racer is looking for the perfect spot - maybe wanting too perfect and not willing to wait and put in time - and also that he may have a history of burning bridges. I mean, why couldn't he end up at nearby Iowa State with Dresser looking to fill out a roster after winning the JUCO title last year and why didn't he go back to Central Iowa when OSU didn't work out for him?
