The closest they had was when they had Davila, Witcher, and Swindle behind Allen. Only one of the three panned out and they ended up with no depth again. Davila and Allen were power forwards who played center since they were more effective with their back to the baskets.
I think they need an ensemble of at least three at 6'8" or taller, two of which are capable of starting and the other capable of giving 10 minutes. The problem with the current lineup is that there is a big drop off after Blackshear with no natural power forward to step up to the center position in a small lineup.
