Lifeguard, clerk at The Hecht Co, substitute ballet teacher, waitress

I totally was the typical slack teenage employee though. Although I did watch the pool pretty closely and tried to make sure no one did any stupid stuff, I did a really poor job with the cleaning duties that I had. Oh, I also taught swimming lessons before the pool opened as a side gig. That was fun. I was good with kids.

The Hecht Co clerk was a terrible job. I really hated it. Loved teach ballet to the little kids.

I was very fortunate in that my parents paid for my VT tuition and room/board. Of course it was only $1800/year back then for all of that. I only had to earn the spending money for extras.

*Edit - forgot about the waitress gig at Charley's Place in McLean. I needed a job and lied that I had previous experience. Put some restaurant name down at the beach that I'd heard of for experience. This was pre-internet so no checking up on me. That job was a rude awakening when I met people who depended on that job. I lasted 6 months. Probably made me work a little harder to find a "real" job.
