CCW Question...

Texas resident with a CCW moves to VA, will become a VA resident this year. Texas CCW expires in 2021.

Does he need to transfer/apply for a CCW in VA or is his permit valid in VA until 2021?

I'm thinking since Texas has reciprocity with VA, the permit would be valid in VA until it expires in 2021. Anyone have experience or knowledge in this arena?
