It's complicated. In the end it is about the body of work.


The two times that Haught has faced Moore he has gotten pinned (both within the last year). So unless Moore has a complete melt down Haught doesn't have a chance to pass him, until the NCAA tournament. Which is all that matters anyhow.

The main goal right now is for Haught to keep winning and to get on the opposite side of the bracket from Moore (who clearly has his number) at NCAA's. If Moore is a 1 seed and Haught a second then he can't face him until the finals. This would assure lots of team points amongst other things.

In the end, the regular season rankings that are published by different outlets (Flo, Track, etc.) don't really matter at all. They have no bearing on the rankings for the NCAA tourney.
