They pick 3 or 4 strains from SE Asia which tends to precede the US by 6 mo


The triggering of the immune response to an attenuated virus taxes the body. Everyone reacts differently. Some people don't need the flu shot at all, considering the low odds of getting the strains. I don't take the shots anymore, but at some age down the road, it will be useful if only to lessen the severity of a flu.
