Those other teams but they also realize what’s important. The truth is the majority aren’t big fans of most of the Olympic sports which is absolutely true. Same at UVA.

If Tech were to win a team national championship most fans would be happy but the day to day wouldn’t matter to most fans, just like at UVA. Never have I heard of a national championship parade for field hockey, but if Virginia won it in basketball or football you can bet it would be wild in Charlottesville. That’s my point.

The lack of success in the money sports has forced uva fans today to fake enthusiasm for obscure sports. I’m sure youre happy about those championships (and who wouldn’t be?) but like I said before you can’t get ten of thousands at a field hockey game and there’s a reason for that. It’s not as importan to the fans.
