Had a date night this weekend. Wife and I did dinner and a show.

She wanted to go to a performance of A Street Car Named Desire that some local volunteer theater group was putting on in Alexandria (thankfully these tickets did not cost $1,200). I never saw the Brando movie and had no idea what the story was about. For some reason I thought Brando played a gangster bad@ss that slept with tons of ladies and flipped the bird to prohibition. I was way off. The first half of the performance was humorous, then it took a real dark turn.

Prior to the show we went to RT's Creole & Cajun restaurant on the border of Arlington and Alexandria, by the Birchmere. That place was delicious. I highly recommend that. I wasn't hungry enough to get an entree so we just got a few appetizers and sides. The Jack Daniels Shrimp and Crab dish was great and had a great sauce to dip bread in when the shrimp and crab were gone.
