Handwriting tip: get a decent pen

My handwriting is 10x better with a gel pen (Pilot G2 or similar is pretty cheap) or a fountain pen (would recommend a Pilot Metropolitan. It feels a little silly to spend $10 on a pen, but if you have one nice pen, much easier to not lose it).

In both cases (and more so with the fountain pen), it's simply easier to be precise and in control since the pen only needs to glide along the paper, not be mashed down into the paper like you have to with cheaper ball point pens.
